Accountancy AML Supervisors’ Group – Circumstances of High Risk

The IPA is a member of several AML groups and organisations. The Accountancy AML Supervisors’ Group (AASG’s) members are the insolvency, accountancy & book-keeping AML supervisory authorities. The group meets to consider and review trends in AML compliance and to review and issue guidance on AML matters.

The AASG have recently reviewed and updated the circumstances of high-risk. New matters introduced include matters such as cryptocurrencies and proliferation financing.

Nominated Officers should be aware of the details in the guidance and consider any changes to your firm wide risk assessment to incorporate the risk areas highlighted.
