Apply to be appointed to the IPA’s Legal Services Panel

The Insolvency Practitioners Association, the UK’s only dedicated regulator of Insolvency Practitioners, is conducting a review of its legal service providers and invites applications for inclusion on the IPA’s preferred legal panel. The panel will serve as the IPA’s primary legal resource. Membership of the panel will be reviewed every five years.

What we are looking for

The IPA is creating a Legal Services Panel of firms and individual legal practitioners who can provide external legal advice and/or counsel to the IPA on a variety of matters including, but not limited to, the following areas of law:

  • Insolvency law (England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland)
  • Regulatory and disciplinary law
  • Company and commercial law
  • Information and data protection law

Applications are invited from law firms (UK wide), practising barristers (England & Wales & NI) and practising advocates (Scotland) who have the required expertise in their subject area.

How to apply

1. Law firms

Applicants are required to submit their proposal which should include:

  • A firm profile along with an individual profile of key staff to include a summary of their relevant experience and expertise
  • Details of the firm’s conflict check and confidentiality procedures
  • Details of the firm’s current professional indemnity insurance
  • Details of any discounted fees available and other flexible fee arrangements (including blended rates or volume discounts for standard work)
  • Details of any other services offered

2. Individual legal practitioners

Applicants are required submit a proposal which should include:

  • An individual profile and/or curriculum vitae to include a summary of relevant experience and expertise
  • Details of conflict check and confidentiality procedures
  • Details of current professional indemnity insurance
  • Details of any discounted fees available and other flexible fee arrangements (including blended rates or volume discounts for standard work)
  • Details of any other services offered
  • Two professional referees
