Call for Case Study Papers – Insolvency Practitioner Standards Strategy Day

IPA Insolvency Practitioner newsletter, August 2026

Have you worked on a case that highlights opportunities to improve/develop professional and ethical standards for Insolvency Practitioners?

The Joint Insolvency Committee (JIC) is responsible for developing and maintaining insolvency standards, including Statements of Insolvency Practice (SIPs), which shape regulatory expectations and promote consistency across the profession.

This year, the JIC has asked the Insolvency Service (INSS) to host its Strategy Day, which brings together regulators, recognised professional bodies, IPs and independent members to consider emerging issues affecting insolvency practice and to identify priorities for its future work programme.

The INSS is inviting IPs from firms of all sizes to submit a case study sharing their experience of how the current regulatory framework works in practice.

The INSS is particularly interested in:

– What works well
– Practical challenges or unintended consequences
– Ideas for improving standards, guidance, regulatory expectations or processes

Your insights will help inform the JIC future priorities and programme of work, contribute to the development of a new standards-setting process, and support the INSS vision for greater engagement with the profession.

Selected contributors may be invited to present their case study at the Strategy Day on Thursday 24 September 2026 in Stratford, London.
