Content

Join us for a practical session examining the role of company directors and the legal responsibilities that come with holding office. This webinar will provide a clear overview of how directors operate within a company and the circumstances in which they may be held personally accountable.

This session will explore:

  • The role of directors in the management and operation of a company, including the different types of directors such as Executive, Non‑Executive, Dejure, Defacto, and Shadow Directors
  • How directors are appointed and removed from office, including an overview of Directors Disqualification
  • The powers of directors and the authority under which they can bind the company as a whole

By the end of the session, delegates will have a stronger understanding of directors’ responsibilities, powers, and potential liabilities in practice, ready to approach these exam questions with confidence whether preparing to sit or retake the JIEB in 2026, or planning ahead for 2027 and beyond.
