The application process

Membership criteria for all membership categories and application forms can be found here.

Membership applications are considered by the Regulation and Conduct Committee. The Committee may sometimes have extra questions, and the secretariat may contact you to follow up. If you are applying for a licence and have been licensed by another body, we may contact that body for information about your past experience. The outcome of your application will be communicated to you as soon as a decision has been made.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION QUERIES

The IPA Membership team is available to answer any queries you may have about whether and how you meet the membership criteria and completion of your application. Click here to contact our Membership Officer.

IP LICENCE

If you are also interested in obtaining a licence to act as an insolvency practitioner or transferring your licence to the IPA, our IP licence criteria can be found here

FIXED CHARGE RECEIVER REGISTRATION

If you take appointments, or are thinking of taking appointments under fixed charges which fall outside the statutory regulatory framework, you may wish to consider registration under the fixed charge receiver scheme run by the IPA with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
