Insolvency Service: The HR1 form is going digital

From early September 2025, you will be able to complete and submit the Insolvency Service’s HR1 form digitally via the same gov.uk link as before (also this HR1 link).

Why the Insolvency Service is making this change:

  • quicker submissions – no printing, scanning or emailing
  • fewer errors – the form guides you step-by-step
  • no need to download, save offline, or email Word or PDF versions
  • up to date – always the latest version confirmation

Important deadline

From 1 December 2025, the Insolvency Service will no longer accept paper-based HR1 forms. If you try to submit a Word or PDF version after 1 December 2025, You will be redirected to the digital version.
