It’s a year since the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act (CIGA) added the moratorium and restructuring plan to our insolvency tool kit.  Government support schemes for pandemic-hit businesses have been in place since March 2020, but as we emerge from the restrictions of the pandemic, and as furlough ends and repayment of Coronavirus Business Interruption Loans and Bounce Back Loans start, how might the CIGA provision filter down to impact less high profile cases and the day-to-day work of the Insolvency Practitioners who conduct them?
