Yin Lee, President
IPA Insolvency Practitioner newsletter, December 2025
As 2025 draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what a fantastic seven months it has been as President of the IPA. What a journey, and what a privilege.
Much has been said about “getting a seat at the table.” For me, it’s less about the chair itself, than what you do once you’re there. Over these months, I’ve used my role to listen, champion change, and amplify voices across our profession, especially those who haven’t always been heard.
Last week captured that spirit beautifully. On Tuesday, I joined an IPA Rising Professionals event, where members at the start of their insolvency careers came together to connect, celebrate, and learn. And on Friday, I hosted the IPA’s Past Presidents’ Lunch for those who have contributed their wisdom and insight to our profession over decades. This blend of old and new, drawing on the past and shaping our future, is what the IPA is all about. I’m proud to play my part as the IPA’s 63rd President.
My President’s charity for the year is Dreams Come True. To help them, I captured some of the excitement at these IPA events. As the festive season arrives, please consider a donation, which you can do here.
Thank you for all your contributions to the IPA over the last year. I look forward to working with you in 2026, where the IPA can continue its work to support everyone in our profession, whether you’re a new starter or retiring, and whether you work in a larger firm or, like me, a smaller one. I wish you all a joyous and peaceful break over the Christmas and New Year period. Ready and recharged for 2026!
