IPA Insolvency Practitioner newsletter, June 2024

Dear members,

It gives me great pleasure to write as the recently appointed IPA President 2024/25! Having served on the IPA board for almost four years, I am already familiar with the IPA, many of the team and others in the insolvency community. For those who don’t know me, I am a Partner at Begbies Traynor and was a Partner at CVR prior to its acquisition by Begbies. I was also a Partner in two well-known law firms, specialising in insolvency, proceeds of crime and fraud work, and a former President of R3.

I look forward to working with my fellow Office Holders, Yin Lee, Louise Brittain and Paul Davis, as well as the people across our Secretariat, Committees and Board to advance the IPA’s work. With the IPA working with other key stakeholders towards regulatory reform, I look forward to leading the IPA through this important time in which we will do our utmost to help deliver a revised framework that champions the profession and the varied work that it does. I’ll also be in attendance at IPA events over the coming year, so I look forward to meeting many of you there. I will be hosting my first event as President on 3rd July, our sold-out Leeds Roadshow, and will hopefully meet some of you there.
