Change of insolvency licence status

To complete this form you should already be an ordinary or fellow member. This form is for those who wish to:

upgrade from a non appointment taker to appointment taker

change from a partial only licence to a full licence

Please be aware that the IPA’s Articles of Association, which apply to all current and future members of the IPA, changed on 1st January 2025.

Please ensure you have the following before you complete the form.

Referee letters

Have applied for an enabling bond (for appointment takers)

Have applied for a Disclosing and Barr Service (DBS) check

Have 100 hours of higher insolvency experience over the last 12 months

Provide photo ID

One document that verifies your proof of address – utility bill, bank or credit card statement (not older than 3 months) or driving licence (provided that it shows the current address and has not been used as the ID document)
