IPA Board Elections 2024

IPA Insolvency Practitioner newsletter, April 2024

We look forward to the IPA Annual General Meeting which will be held on 30 May 2024. One of the highlights of the AGM is always the announcement of the new President and Office Holders and the results of the elections for new Board members.

This year there will be four vacancies to fill and, as before, we have instructed Civica Election Services to conduct the elections.

The Board of Directors of the Association are collectively responsible for the strategic direction and the proper functioning of the Association.  Board members are at the centre of the profession influencing its development and direction as well as actively participating in the governance of the only regulatory body solely focussed on insolvency.

As a member, you are entitled to put yourself forward or nominate one or more other members to stand for election to one of these prestigious posts within the Association.

While it is preferred that candidates will have existing links to the Association’s operations or current Board/Committee membership, or experience of working in a similar role with another trade body or organisation, this is not a requirement.  We are keen to encourage member representation from all areas of the profession, covering not only the various specialisms and practice sizes but also reflecting its diversity.  No assumptions are made based on sex; race; age; disability; gender, gender reassignment or non-binary status; sexual orientation; married or civil partnership status; pregnancy, maternity and paternity; religion or belief.  Eligibility is not limited to having long years of experience; fresh perspectives and insights are welcome.

To start the process, all members will have received an invitation from Civica on 10 April to nominate candidates for election to the Board. If you have any queries, please contact membership@ipa.uk.com.
