Dear members,
I had the pleasure of attending the IPA Past Presidents’ Luncheon at BMA House in London recently, joined by many who have significantly impacted the profession, and it was interesting as always to hear from those who have been a part of the IPA’s history. Congratulations to Past President Maurice Moses, who was awarded Honorary IPA membership on the afternoon in recognition of his long-standing service and dedication to the IPA.
Looking back on the year’s programme of events, training and engagement with members, I enjoyed travelling the country to meet members and host nearly all of this year’s regional Roadshows held in cities in each of the four UK nations. I was delighted to host our inaugural dedicated AML event as well as co-host the Annual Conference and host the recent Personal Insolvency Conference. Thank you to our Vice-President Yin Lee of Evelyn Partners, who hosted this year’s Cardiff Roadshow and the first edition of our diversity, equity and inclusion focused event. Yin is our incoming President in April 2024 and I look forward to welcoming her into her role next year.
Over the course of 2023, we welcomed over 1,700 attendees to all of our events and training, and we look forward to another busy programme of activity next year across all of our engagement and CPD earning opportunities.
On that note, save the date for the next IPA Learning webinar on 6th February, which will focus on the Ethics Code and using it effectively in practice. Other key dates for your diary are the Annual Conference on 25th April and the Personal Insolvency Conference on 28th November.
