Paul Smith, CEO

Hello all. I am pleased to be writing following the conclusion of our 2022 Annual Conference, which provided a great opportunity to meet with many of you and engage in some stimulating discussions around the future of the profession. I hope that you enjoyed the day.

I am also pleased to announce the publication of our 2022/23 Annual Report, which provides detailed commentary on our activity over the past year, including our regulatory operations, the work of our Committees, our education, training and professional development initiatives and our work on behalf of our members and the wider insolvency community. In 2022, we carried out 278 inspections, concluded 162 complaints, welcomed 1,318 event and training attendees and provided 43.5 hours of CPD. Discover more about 2022/23 in the report.

In addition to our Annual Report, we have also released the fourth Benchmark Report on the IPA Volume Provider Regulation (VPR) Scheme, containing information on the volume personal debt solutions market as well as data on the IPA’s regulatory activity in this area and ongoing efforts to improve the performance of the market. This report is an important resource for anyone working in this area, and I encourage you to read it. Access the report here.

Finally, I look forward to meeting members at our upcoming 2023 Roadshow Series events, firstly in Cardiff on 23rd May. Read more about these upcoming events here.

Best wishes,

Paul
