Hello everyone. It was super to see so many of you at the Annual Conference in London last month and with my term as IPA President coming to a close at the AGM on 30th May, I am very proud of the contribution that we have made to the development and advancement of regulation and to the profession over the last year. We have celebrated some fantastic new talent who have successfully completed insolvency qualifications, as well as recognising the outstanding achievements of all the winners and nominees at the IPA Awards. We have expanded our membership, deepened our engagement with stakeholders, continued to promote best practices in insolvency and restructuring through our monitoring regimes, member updates, training and events, and took a leading role in the discussion around improving Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the sector.
As the economy continues to navigate turbulent waters, we must remain responsive to emerging challenges and continue to champion the importance of our profession in promoting financial stability and protecting businesses and individuals.
As I hand over the reins to Paul Davis, I look forward to what the future holds for the IPA and to working alongside Paul as Immediate Past President. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role of IPA President, and I am sure that he will build on the IPA’s successes of the past year and beyond.
Finally, I want to thank all of you for your support and dedication to the IPA. It has been a privilege to serve as President, and I look forward to continuing to work with the IPA as Immediate Past President.
Samantha
