Paul Smith, CEO

Hello all.

We recently published the IPA’s 2021 Annual Report, to which I was pleased to contribute.

I came aboard the IPA at a time when it was performing strongly through the great work of my predecessor and that of our Secretariat, Board and Committees. I am pleased with the IPA’s continuing performance, and the report contains excellent insight on the different aspects of our work, such as regulation, Anti-Money Laundering, the technical framework, our qualifications, training and events, and the Volume Provider Regulation (VPR) Scheme. Access the Annual Report within this issue.

As you will know, the AGM takes place tomorrow, with the Annual Conference commencing directly after. Both events are at the Royal College of Physicians in Regent’s Park, London. I look forward to the day.

We also have our inaugural Summer Party and a new series of regional Roadshows on the horizon – read more about these in this issue. On the regulatory front, there is an update from HMRC on deemed consent procedures and a reminder on successor IPs.

Best wishes,

Paul
