The United Kingdom Financial Intelligence Unit (UKFIU), which is responsible for receiving, analysing and disseminating financial
intelligence submitted through the Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) regime, has released a SARs reporter booklet. The booklet’s aim is to show the value of SARs through examples of law enforcement agencies utilisting intelligence gained from SARs to begin new investigations and support existing investigations, as well as sharing and encouraging best practice among reporters.
